Rumor:Apple next to release fifth-gen, SIM-less iPhone with 8MP camera by early August..

A new rumor that a late July to early August release timeframe for Apple's anticipated fifth-generation iPhone, said to include an 8-megapixel camera and a SIM-less design that will not be a major departure from the current iPhone 4 design.

A Source reported on Monday that the next iPhone will have the same form factor as the iPhone 4, and will use an ARM Cortex-A9 processor. The report said it is "not confirmed" whether the new processor will have a single CPU or is dual-core.

And also the handset will have an 8-megapixel camera, and a SIM-less design along with 3-4 internal antennas that will allow the device to serve as a "world phone" compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks. That would allow the same hardware to run on both AT&T and Verizon networks in the U.S.

The report claims that the device, which will include a Qualcomm chipset, will be released at the end of July or in early August.

Zen Interior Decorating and Design

Zen Buddhism, a way of thinking and living branches of art. Zen Zen home decor is related to the principle of daily life, which emphasized simplicity and natural harmony. No right or wrong. You do not need a bamboo mat or commercial screen to make your home more Zen. Zen decoration is flexible and unlimited. It all depends on how you imagine the harmony and hope into a tangible image.

Zen to work within, it means using more natural materials to decorate your home. Tone in the home should be simple, and furniture around the house you should have simple, clean lines, and should meet the same color scheme. You can also add attachments, create a Zen room, but that in the carpet weaving areas, different plants and simple flower arrangements, rice lights, and even stones and silk pillows on the couch.

A Picnic, Vintage Morris Minor and the Chelsea Flower Show

I felt like this sweet thing upon arrival at the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday.
I thought...if I could just move this person and that person, then
just maybe I could get a picture of...something.

That's the way of these things...you just have to be prepared.
Last year I managed a ticket for arrival first thing in the morning.
This year, I was a bit late into the game and only managed
an early evening ticket, starting at 5:30pm.

To be honest, it is wonderful to be there any time of the day.
You just have to go with the flow.
So....while I organise my photo files, I thought
I would invite you to join me on a picnic.

How about we fire up the motor on this beauty below,
a Morris Minor 1000 Traveller Estate Wagon.
I am seriously wondering if I could tuck this car away in one of
our containers on our next move. We brought two 40' containers from
New Zealand to England...what's one more when it is in the name of love?

I say, we take the car, park it under a big old tree,
with a view of the English countryside.

How about a trailer off the back of the car to tote along this shed?
A shed of our own and the comfort of a big old tree.
We can call it home sweet home for the afternoon.

We would not have to pack much as I would have planned a hamper
from Fortnum and Mason (here) because really...when you are going on a picnic..you
just have to do it right.  Be sure to bring your latest summer hat, we must take care
from the sun in the name of midlife beauty. My latest thoughts on that, here.

I like the notion of bringing along a few vintage
gardening books to keep in the spirit of the moment.
Cameras, sketch pads, music, arm chairs,
a few kilim rugs, overstuffed pillows....
Do you think it will fit?

I promise to pack a few surprises in these vintage suitcases to keep
us entertained. If I gave one to you to pack for our picnic,
what would you bring along?

In the spirit of a weekend outing, I am sending you best wishes
for a wonderful weekend. Short or long, I hope it is fruitful !

More on Chelsea Flower Show coming up...
an inspiration or two at a time. :)

PS..Does anyone know what has
happened to the FOLLOWERS
widget from the sidebar? A few
other thing have gone MIA
too. Same for you?

London fog, Tate Modern and Joan Miro

The Litte Fair-haired Girl at the Amusement Park
Joan Miro, 1950

I woke up this morning and admit I felt bleary eyed and tired. It was one of those
mornings where I could have easily slept a while longer. The skies were grey,
I had a mad rush to get the kids off to school and then catch a train to London
and all I really wanted to do was sleep...just a little while longer. Being one of those
annoying people who is always giving herself pep talks, I soldiered on.

My fog followed me into London.

and a bit further,
until...

I rounded the corner and came upon my final destination.
The Tate Modern Gallery to see the Joan Miro exhibit.

Needing further fortifications I stopped in at the Gallery Cafe
for coffee and stared at the view. St Paul's Cathedral was in front of me,
thru the lovely birch tree garden and over the Thames.
With every sip, I could feel the morning fog melting away.

It is a good thing that my fog lifted because what was in store for me in this fabulous
Joan Miro exhibit required my rapt attention.  There were over 150 paintings, drawings,
sculptures and prints for me to pour over. This London exhibit is the first major retrospective
of Joan Miro to be held in nearly 50 years.  To be honest, I was not sure what I would think.
I went in a bit skeptical and came out a great admirer. His work is thought provoking
to say the least. Although much of his work was painted thru desperate times
(Spanish Civil War and Second World War), I felt a playfulness in his some
of his work that was endearing.

I left the gallery, thankful that I gave myself that little pep talk earlier in the day.
Shortly after, the heavens above shed tear drops upon London
and I managed to catch one or two.

Wink, wink, blink, blink...off to bed for me.
Big day tomorrow....Chelsea Flower Show.
I won't need a pep talk for that one!
:))

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Banksy

I have to write about a picture, but I prefer to write about an street artist called Banksy, who makes his art in the public space producing a lot of images in the city every day. Nobody knows excatly who Banksy is, because he is an anonimous grafitti artist. The only thing we know, it's that he is english, because his work has been known in the stretts of english cities. He gives to his art a lot of political content, like anti-capitalism, anarchism, exsistencialsm or anti-imperialism and how his way of producing art is sometimes illegal, he doesn't say his real identity.
The techinque more used by Banksy, is the stencil, that consists in a thin sheet of material that you cut in the form of letters and images applying pigment trough the cut-holes in the material. I really like this technique because the work is done just once and then you can reproduce the image all the times that you want without taking a lot of time or doing a big work. In his stencils, Banksy shows a part of the reality in a very creative way, giving social and political messages with an irreverent dark humour, not only in the streets, because Banksy also puts his works in the museums in a clandestine way, he has had exhibitions and he has make films too, all this from the anonymity and without beeing discovered his formal identity.
I really like the art of Banksy, but not only in an aesthetic sense, because I think that the ideas that he represents by his work are very important for our society, because he is able to show our problems in a very atttractive way so everyone see it.

A Press conference in New York City today, Google officially took the wraps off of its Google Wallet and Google Offers mobile payment services. Google confirmed that it is working with banks, retailers, and other partners to allow users to make mobile payments with their cell phones. “Your phone will be your wallet,”

Google’s VP of Commerce, Stephanie Tilenius, said. “Just tap, pay and save.” Initial partners include Citi, MasterCard, Macy’s, Subway, Walgreens, and Sprint, and trials will begin today with a full launch expected this summer. No matter the age,
