Marie Antoinette

I don't know about you guys but I love Costume Drama's. I think the time were the most of those movies takes place is so interesting. High wigs, sweets and pasteries and of course fabulous costumes! Wouldn't it be amazing to be an extra in one of those costume drama's so that you could wear one of those dresses too?

The reason why I'm starting to talk about those movies is that I saw Marie Antoinette the other day with the actrice Kirsten Dunst. It was a pretty good movie, except for the sometimes strange music choice. You really saw how an Austrian Duchess evolved into one of the most famous and spoiled queens France ever had. Kirsten Dunst really played her well and looked beautiful in the movie. I was a bit jealous of her, because the costumes she wore were absolutely amazing. And it were a lot of costumes, because this roaly lady is a true fashionista. She spend all her money, well, here husbands money (King Louis VI) on expensive clothes, shoes and jewelry.

Its funny to see that more then 300 years ago, people were addicted to fashion too. I guess fashion is something that will never go away and will always be somewhere were people are. There will always be a fashionista who will change the (royal)world, just like Marie Antoinette. She didn't have an happy end though, because fashion and parties was the only thing she thought about, instead of the starving French people...

Here are some of the amazing dresses from the movie.
