Journey of the Mind

Funny how the mind takes you this way and that.
Mine has been aflutter all day.
I must be feeling better :)

Thank you all for your well wishes,
my bout of flu is finally making an exit.
I am just getting around to the
Weekend paper (last weekends)
and catching up on some paperwork.
Things are most definitely looking up.

Speaking of news....the papers here
have been buzzing with the
news of Victoria Beckham's pregnancy.
The Tweeters are Twittering!
Such a fuss!

When I saw this headline in The Telegraph,
'Is the Fourth Child a Status Symbol'?
I just laughed.  What will they think of next?

Having my fourth at 42 was an accomplishment in itself.
I can tell you I was not thinking about status symbols.
A Range Rover was the furthest thing from my mind.
With the fourth child, I was thinking Minivan and lots of it.

I admit, there were times when I thought I was crazy.
Four kids can be a bumpy road at the best of times.
Those teenage years can put anyone over the edge...
but that is life, you grow, you learn, you adjust
and in the end you are just thankful for
these blessings in your life.

My brood in 1999.

Speaking of four...
My mind is still on a journey.
A sure sign I am feeling better :)

I am in a qandry.
I have four calendar/ diaries on my desk
and I can't seem to let go of any of them.

My logic...
I need one large one ( New Yorker) for the kitchen counter.
I need a no fuss calendar for the kitchen bulletin board.
I am not kidding when I say no fuss.
I love this calendar.

until someone decides to add
a few of her own comments..
lest' we forget :)

I need the green DeBrett's for my purse
just in case the iphone battery wears out...and of course
the iphone manages it all.

It's complicated I know...but when they are all in sync,
my little army is in perfect order :)

I just love that feeling :)

Many thanks for reading my rambles and
best wishes for a wonderful weekend!

PS...

I should probably mention that I am the oldest of six children,
so, I guess, four seems like a walk in the park by comparison :)
